What's Covered in 10 Minutes
Nurse-Led Pop-Up Health Checks for Teams & Communities
A 10-minute pop-up health check delivered by a Registered Nurse at your workplace, running club, community event, or co-working space. No GP referral. No waiting list.
You’ll get a clear, clinical picture of your cardiovascular health, blood pressure, BMI, and lifestyle risk factors, along with practical guidance from someone with over 30 years of clinical experience.
These aren’t box-ticking wellness activities. They’re nurse-led assessments designed to identify early warning signs and start conversations that matter.
- Blood pressure measurement & cardiovascular insight
- BMI recording & lifestyle snapshot
- Personal health discussion with a Registered Nurse
Who Are Pop-Up Health Checks Designed For?
Pop-up health checks work particularly well where people wouldn’t naturally seek out a GP appointment, but would take five minutes to know how their heart is doing or whether their blood pressure is within a healthy range.
Typical groups we work with:
• Running clubs and sports groups looking to add clinical value to events
• Co-working spaces and founder communities supporting member wellbeing
• Community organisations running health awareness campaigns
• Employers looking for an accessible, low-cost entry point into workforce health
No preparation needed. No fasting, no appointments, no clinical environment. We bring everything to you.
What Does a Pop-Up Health Check Actually Involve?
What happens during the health check?
You’ll spend approximately 10 minutes with Anthony, a Masters-qualified Registered Nurse.
He’ll take your blood pressure, record your BMI, run through a brief lifestyle assessment,
and discuss any results with you there and then. Everything is confidential.
Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?
Nothing at all. Pop-up checks are designed to be completely accessible. No fasting, no
referral, no paperwork in advance.
What happens after the check?
You’ll receive immediate verbal feedback during the session. Depending on your results,
Anthony may suggest a follow-up appointment, a GP conversation, or simply confirm that
everything looks healthy.
Can we answer your questions?
We’re friendly, professional and available to discuss any questions you may have. Or take a look at our FAQs below, where we’ve covered the most common questions about pop-up health checks.
Hi, I’m Anthony
I’m a Masters-qualified Adult Nurse with over 30 years of experience across hospital and community settings.
I started Anthony Bostock Wellness because I kept seeing the same pattern: people arriving for treatment with conditions that could have been caught and addressed years earlier. Pop-up health checks are designed to do something simple. Get clinical insight in front of people who wouldn’t otherwise seek it out. No clinical environment, no appointment, no waiting. Just ten minutes with a Registered Nurse that might genuinely
change someone’s health trajectory

Frequently Asked Questions
Early prevention is significantly more cost-effective than reactive absence management.
What's the difference between a pop-up health check and a Health MOT?
A pop-up health check is a quick 10-minute assessment covering blood pressure, BMI, and a brief lifestyle conversation. It’s designed to be accessible and high-volume, ideal for events, clubs, or community settings. A Health MOT is a more comprehensive 30-minute clinical assessment including biomarker blood testing, cardiovascular risk scoring, and a personalised written report. Pop-up checks are often the starting point that leads people towards a full Health MOT.
Are the health checks clinically valid?
Yes. Every check is delivered by Anthony Bostock, a Masters-qualified Registered Nurse with NMC registration and over 30 years of clinical experience. Blood pressure measurements and BMI are taken with professional-grade equipment using clinical protocols. Any findings requiring GP follow-up are flagged during the check.
How many people can you see in a session?
A pop-up session can typically accommodate 15 to 30 people per day depending on session duration and event flow. For larger events, extended sessions or multiple-visit arrangements can be discussed. Get in touch to talk through logistics for your group.
What information do participants receive after their check?
Participants receive immediate verbal feedback during their session. For anything that warrants follow-up, elevated blood pressure, high BMI, lifestyle risk factors, Anthony provides clear practical guidance and, where necessary, recommends a GP conversation. Written summaries can be discussed for group bookings.
Can you come to us? Where do you operate?
Yes. We travel to you. ABW delivers pop-up health checks across Hampshire, Dorset, and the wider South of England. We’ve worked with groups in Southampton, Bournemouth, Poole, Winchester, and beyond. If you’re outside these areas, get in touch and we’ll discuss
what’s possible.
Is the health check confidential?
Completely. All health conversations and results are handled in strict confidence in line with NMC professional standards and GDPR. Results are never shared with employers or event organisers without explicit individual consent.
