Why Senior Leaders Need a More Thorough Health Assessment
Executives and senior leaders carry a disproportionate share of organisational stress, and they’re often the least likely to surface health concerns through standard occupational health channels. Too busy, not wanting to flag vulnerability, or simply not having made the time.
The clinical reality is that stress, poor sleep, long hours, and high cognitive load have measurable physiological effects. HbA1c, cortisol metabolites, inflammatory markers, thyroid function, and cardiovascular risk scores don’t lie. A structured private health check makes those effects visible and addressable.
For organisations, protecting the health of senior leadership is one of the highest-return investments in their workforce health strategy.

Practical Questions About Executive Health Screening

Can this be done at our offices?
Yes. All elements can be delivered on-site with a suitable private room. We bring all clinical equipment and supplies. Alternatively, assessments can be arranged at a private clinical setting if preferred.

Can we answer your questions?
Whether you’re looking to book a private health check for yourself or explore a programme for your senior team, we’re happy to talk through what the right approach looks like. No obligation.
Hi, I’m Anthony
I’m a Masters-qualified Adult Nurse with 30 years of clinical experience, and I work with senior leaders because I understand what that professional context actually does to the body.
The physiological effects of sustained high-performance working, elevated cortisol, disrupted sleep, cardiovascular strain, metabolic changes, show up in biomarker data long before they show up as symptoms. By the time you notice something’s wrong, it’s usually been building for years. A private health check at this level isn’t about reassurance. It’s aboutknowing precisely where you stand clinically so you can make informed decisions about how you work, rest, and prioritise your health over the long term.

Frequently Asked Questions
Early prevention is significantly more cost-effective than reactive absence management.
What's the difference between ABW Executive Screening and a standard private health check?
Standard private health checks vary significantly in clinical depth, and many are delivered by non-clinical practitioners with a narrow range of measurements. ABW Executive Screening is delivered by a Masters-qualified Registered Nurse and uses a 35-biomarker blood panel, 12-
lead ECG, stress and burnout assessment, and a structured 1:1 clinical review. The difference is clinical governance and depth of insight, not just the number of tests.
Can I book this as an individual, or is it only for organisations?
Both. Individual executive health checks can be booked directly with complete confidentiality. No employer communication is required or included. If you’re a director, business owner, or senior professional looking for a thorough private health check on your own terms, this is the right service.
Do I need to fast before the assessment?
For the most accurate cholesterol and glucose readings, a 10 to 12 hour fast before blood sample collection is recommended. We’ll confirm all preparation guidance at the time of booking. The rest of the assessment, ECG, blood pressure, clinical consultation, does not require fasting.
Are the blood test results reviewed by a doctor?
Your results are reviewed and discussed by Anthony Bostock RN, a Masters-qualified NMC- registered nurse practitioner with specialist expertise in preventive health assessment. Where a result indicates a concern beyond the scope of nursing practice, Anthony will provide a clear recommendation for GP follow-up with full supporting information.
How is my personal health data protected?
All personal health data is handled under strict GDPR compliance and NMC professional confidentiality standards. Your data is stored securely, used only in connection with your clinical assessment, and never shared with third parties, including your employer, without your explicit written consent.
How often should a senior leader have an executive health check?
Annual private health screening is generally recommended for professionals in high-demand roles from their mid-thirties onwards. If a previous assessment identified metabolic or cardiovascular risk markers, a six-monthly review is often more appropriate. Anthony will
provide a specific recommendation based on your individual clinical picture.
